Madhu Sheth
As co-founder of The Sheth Foundation with her husband, Dr. Jagdish Sheth, Madhu Sheth’s involvement with The Sheth Foundation has been important since its inception. She has served on the Board of Directors in an official capacity for several years. Sheth is a graduate of Stella Maris College and also serves on the Sheth Family Foundation Board.
Madhu Sheth has spent decades focusing her energies on making a difference in her community and with her family in the United States and India. She has dedicated herself to her family as well as a variety of interesting careers including teacher and operator of a small import and export business. Sheth currently serves as Southeast Regional Director of JAINA (a Federation of all Jain Centers in North America) and the President of the Jain Society of Greater Atlanta (JSGA). As a founding member of the JSGA, she was instrumental in growing the organization from a small group of individuals to a thriving membership of 400 families who now meet in a new building on almost 4 acres of land. Her vision of a special physical place for Atlanta’s Indian community to gather together provided the driving force behind the organization as she orchestrated the construction of JSGA’s temple.
