Atlanta, GA: 3 September 2020 \u2013\u00a0The Sheth Foundation has made a significant grant to co-sponsor the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) Doctoral Symposium in 2020, to be renamed the ACR \u2013 Sheth Foundation Doctoral Symposium<\/strong><\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n

The grant supports ACR\u2019s efforts to further diversity, inclusion and equality in doctoral education. \u00a0In awarding the grant, The Sheth Foundation noted that, of the 174 attendees at the last Symposium, over one third of them were from outside the United States and Canada, representing 17 other countries from Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and South America.<\/p>\n

The President of the Sheth Foundation, Ruth N. Bolton, stated, \u201cWe are pleased to deepen our relationship with the Association for Consumer Research. They have been a strong partner in our mission to develop and recognize scholars and scholarship in marketing globally.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two organizations have previously collaborated on the ACR-Sheth Foundation Dissertation Awards, the Long-Term Contribution in Consumer Research Award and the Nicosia Best Paper award given at ACR\u2019s annual our conference. Reflecting The Sheth Foundation\u2019s support for responsible research, the Foundation also provided several years of seed funding for ACR\u2019s initiative on Transformative Consumer Research<\/p>\n

Founded in 1992 by Dr. Jagdish N. Sheth and his wife Madhuri Sheth, The Sheth Foundation has given millions of dollars to support nonprofit marketing organizations around the world, including the Association for Consumer Research, The Academy of International Business, The Academy of Marketing Science, The American Marketing Association, The European Marketing Academy, The Haring Symposium, The Emerging Markets Conference Board, The Academy of Indian Marketing, and other recipient organizations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
